Forestry technician

We are looking for a forestry technician to draft and manage wildfire prevention and forest management projects, both in the office and in the field.

At Medi XXI GSA we design and deliver forest management and wildfire prevention projects for public authorities, companies and individuals. We want to bring on board a technician who will take part in the whole process: from surveying the land to managing the works.

What you will do

  • Draft wildfire prevention, forest management and preventive silviculture plans and projects.
  • Carry out fieldwork: inventories, data collection and setting out works on site.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of our agroforestry crew.
  • Contribute to projects using SIDEINFO, our wildfire defence system for populated areas.
  • Produce maps and analyses with geographic information systems (GIS).
  • Liaise with town councils, residential communities and other organisations.

What we are looking for

  • A degree in Forestry Engineering or a related field.
  • GIS skills (QGIS or ArcGIS).
  • A Category B driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Keen to work both in the office and in the field.

A plus

  • Experience in wildfire prevention or self-protection plans.
  • Knowledge of drones and photogrammetry.
  • Spanish and Valencian/Catalan.
