“Fire, a national emergency”: our director on RTVE’s Informe Semanal

Forestry engineer Ferran Dalmau-Rovira, director of Medi XXI GSA, took part in Fuego, emergencia nacional, a report on RTVE’s long-running programme Informe Semanal.

Ferran spent a week as a volunteer at the Madrid, Ávila and Toledo wildfires with the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition’s FAST mechanism (Fire Assessment and Supporting Team), advising on the defence of populated areas.

Following the interview, RTVE also published a piece on wildfires and prevention with some of the keys to stopping these disasters from happening again and again.
